The extensive use of the cultivated landscape between Falera and Laax has created species-rich habitats over the centuries. In places, the resulting cultivated landscape still harbours a remarkable variety of butterflies, grasshoppers, birds and other animals and plants. On a walk through the dry, sun-drenched slopes and the damp, unfertilised fens, we discover their various impressive inhabitants.
